“Support to Judicial Professionalism and the Fight against Organised Crime and Corruption in Bosnia and Herzegovina”
PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
The Project EU4JUSTICE Phase II “Support to Judicial Professionalism and the Fight against Organised Crime and Corruption in BiH” is funded by the European Union through an Instrument for PreAccession Assistance (IPA) special measure and implemented by Expertise France (EF) in cooperation with the German Foundation for International Legal Cooperation (IRZ) and Ibero-American Foundation for Administration and Public Policies (FIIAPP). The general objective of the Project is to further align the justice system of BiH with European standards and the EU Acquis through strengthening the rule of law, notably by enhancing the independence, quality, effectiveness, accountability, and efficiency in the justice sector and its results in the fight against organised crime and corruption.
The specific objectives of the action are:
- The HJPC and the Ministry of Justice of BiH (MoJ BiH) effectively monitor the justice sector;
- Judicial Office Holders (JOHs) are better trained, controlled and advised on integrity;
- Efficiency, transparency, and security of the judiciary are improved;
- Organised crime and corruption cases are processed more effectively by the judiciary.
